Gervonta Davis
Gervonta Davis is one of the best young boxers in the world right now. His connection with the legendary Floyd Mayweather Jr. has helped but his 22 knockouts in 23 fights validate all the hype around him. Davis most recently fought on December 28th when he stopped veteran Yuriorkis Gamboa in the 12th round at State Farm Arena in Atlanta to win the WBA lightweight title. It was his 14 straight knockout win.
'At the end of the day, the fans are going to win. We’re two elite fighters matching up. This could be one of those fights that you’ll always remember. I’m grateful to be in this position, and I’m ready.I’m thankful to Leo for stepping up and calling me out. He wants to test himself out. It shows me that he has a lot of heart and he wants to fight the best. The winner of this should be up there in the pound-for-pound rankings. The winner takes it all on October 31,' Davis said at a recent virtual press conference.

Leo Santa Cruz
Leo Santa Cruz, like Gervonta Davis, has been accused of ducking big fights a while. He was heavily favored against Miguel Flores in November and against Rafael Rivera in February. The only tough opponent that he faced lately was Carl Frampton and those fights were in 2016 and 2017.
Santa Cruz is coming off a unanimous decision win against Miguel Flores at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on November 23rd. He has just one knockout in his last six fights but he's experienced and tough. Can he handle Davis' power? “This is a hard fight. It’s the toughest fight of my career. We’re facing a tough fighter with great skills. I know he’s going to come with everything he has and be at his best,” Santa Cruz told Bad Left Hook.

Prediction
Santa Cruz is a skilled featherweight but he hasn't secured a big fight since beating Carl Frampton in their rematch on January 28th, 2017 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. I can't find any real advantages for Santa Cruz. It could be said that he has experience on his side but Davis has 23 fights under his belt. Davis is rightly favored on the boxing odds board but his price has no value. I can see him winning
